"Support answered, but the wait was frustrating"
Tala has been okay overall, but the customer support can feel slow. I had an issue with my account and messaged them, and while they did eventually reply, I was stuck waiting and felt a bit trapped since it involved my payment/loan situation. Their answer did help in the end, but I still had to follow up once before things felt clear. Not the worst experience, but definitely not great either. They really need to respond faster when people are dealing with money-related issues

"Loan was approved, but the money came late"
I’ve used Tala a few times before and, to be fair, it had been okay for me until this last loan. The app showed my loan was approved, but the money didn’t hit my M-Pesa quickly like I expected.
I ended up waiting almost the whole day, and support was mostly just telling me to be patient. When you’re taking a quick loan because you need the money urgently, that kind of delay is stressful.
They did eventually send the money, so to be fair, it wasn’t a total failure. But it came too late for what I needed, and now I’m not sure I can fully trust the timing of their disbursements.

I’ll blame whoever runs this for actually making the terms easy to understand. Tala showed me the fees and the due date before I accepted anything, and there weren’t any surprise charges after. It made it a lot easier to decide if taking the loan was really worth it...

"Good app, but the fees are annoying as hell"
The app is handy when you’re stuck and need help fast. The rates aren’t terrible, but damn, the fees pile up quick and it gets frustrating. I just wish the charges were lower and not so confusing, because that part is kind of a pain in the butt.

I like using Tala coz I can pay back in small bits whenever money comes in. The due dates are clear too, so I dont feel too much pressure. I’ve used it twice now and it’s been okay for me.

"Feels safe with my details"
I’ve been using Tala for a bit now, and my info with them, it really does feel protected. The login is easy, but still secure feeling, if that makes sense. I also haven’t gotten any weird calls or random messages like my data was shared somewhere. So far, it’s been good for me.

"Pretty decent app, I think"
The app is easy to use most of the time, at least in my experience. I’m not totally sure if it’s just my connection or the app itself, but some pages can load kinda slowly. Logging in can also be a bit annoying now and then. Overall, it works fine, but I feel like it could definitely be smoother.

"The limit was actually enough for my needs"
I used tala.co.ke the credit limit they gave me was decent for what I needed at the time. It wasn’t one of those very small amounts where you still have to go and borrow from two or three other places just to finish sorting your issue. I was able to handle what I wanted without too much stress, which I really appreciated. The repayment details were also easy to understand, like I knew what I was supposed to pay and when, so there wasn’t much confusion on my side. So far, my experience has been good and I’m happy with it.
